
My research program is devoted to understanding the visual pathways and oscillatory dynamics mediating higher visual processes.
We are currently focusing on the brain dynamics underlying the detection, evaluation, and orienting to threat cues embedded in complex visual scenes, bodies, and faces.
In parallel, we are investigating the neural markers of anxiety in visual threat perception.
We are also currently developing neurodynamics-based biomarkers for the identification and treatment evaluation of autism spectrum disorders.
My laboratory employs connectivity analyses of data obtained from magnetoencephalography and EEG recordings and functional magnetic resonance imaging to investigate these questions. We also employ behavioral measures such as eye-tracking in our studies.
